**The Role**

Reporting to the Workshop Manager, you will be responsible for;
- Dynamic Balancing duties operating a Schenck hard bearing balancing Machine Model H40 BU as directed in accordance with ISO 21940.11 and IKAD Procedures.
- Balancing operations as directed by the Project Manager - Balancing and other Balancing Operator Signatories.
- Repair exposure to gearboxes, pumps, valves, heat exchangers, conveyor components, compressors, diesel engines, bearing fitment techniques etc.
- Ensuring all maintenance activities are completed in a safe and efficient manner.
- Identify and report potential safety hazards and take appropriate action.
- The achievement of targets in the areas of safety, environment, quality and production thereby ensuring the continuing viability of naval repair projects.
- Compilation of test data sufficient for accurate and meaningful reporting.
- Advising on any abnormalities in test results or any suspected non-conformance.
- Maintaining company policy for the balancing laboratory.
- Assisting with the maintenance of effective communication throughout the balancing laboratory and help resolve problems and conflicts as required.
- Assisting with keeping a safe, clean and tidy workplace.
- Mechanical aptitude with workshop experience.
- Formal dynamic balancing training.
- Demonstrated competency in the use of hand tools & power tools.
- Proven strong work ethic and reliability.
- Willingness to work overtime.
- White Card (desirable but not essential).
