Piano Teacher

With a growing waitlist and demand for students, Andrew Takla Music is looking to ongoingly grow our team in 2024 We are looking for a new Piano Teacher to start with immediate effect. Please see details below for position description:
**Piano Teacher**

Andrew Takla Music currently offers tuition in piano, violin, singing and guitar to students of all ages.
- Build rapport with students and provide a nurturing, comfortable learning environment
- Ability to teach piano students of beginner to intermediate level.
- Teach students repertoire of their choice, as well as repertoire the teacher believes will help them improve their skillset.
- Help the student develop sufficient technique through relevant technical work.
- Teach students theory and how to read music.
- Have flexibility in your timetable to take on extra students (as discussed).
- Help prepare students for exams (as required) and student concerts.

**Knowledge of the AMEB requirements, as well as the ability to teach a secondary instrument will serve as a great advantage, but not essential.**

Pay: $36.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 3 per week

- Afternoon shift
- Evening shift
- Shift work
