**About the role**

As a Community Support Assistant at VMCH you will provide individual direct care and support to older clients so that they can continue living as independently as possible in the Christian Brothers Community. You will work closely with the Home Care team to understand individual clients and their specific needs, which may include:

- Home care and domestic assistance such as cleaning and laundry)
- Meal preparation
- Respite, social support, and companionship
- Transport, shopping, and community access
- Accompanying to appointments

**About you**

You have a passion for working with elderly people and their families. Ideally, you will also have experience caring for people with specific care needs, including dementia and challenging behaviours.

I don’t suppose you speak a language other than English, do you? That would be awesome, as our Support Workers are often working with clients from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.

You have a flexible approach to your work and the ability to work remotely and autonomously, often without direct supervision.
