Our client, a high profile, centrally located Federal government department has an outstanding opportunity available for an outstanding APS6 Procurement Officer to support a range of important upcoming complex procurement activities.

The primary duties for this role include:

- prepare and deliver end-to-end procurement documentation for complex procurement activities;
- manage and administer procurement activities, including overseeing tender processes, evaluation, and briefings to delegates;
- negotiate, where required, suitable contracts on behalf of, and in accordance with the broad directions of the Department; and
- proactively ensure each procurement achieves a value for money outcome for the Commonwealth and maximum certainty in respect of scope, budget and program.

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate the following skills, experience and attributes:

- Demonstrated knowledge of the Public Governance Performance and Accountability (PGPA) Act 2013 and Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs);
- Good written and oral communication skills and attention to detail, including the ability to tailor language to different audiences;
- The ability to proactively engage with stakeholders to provide accurate and timely advice;
- Capacity to work effectively both as a member of a team as well as independently;
- The ability to manage competing priorities and changing timeframes in a fast paced, dynamic environment;
- Good organisational skills and be outcomes focused and adaptable.

**Demonstrated experience and/or qualifications in delivering end-to-end procurement activities and managing tender processes is essential for this role. A Baseline Security Clearance is not essential, but preferred.**

**Salary**: $62,987.08 - $117,613.94 per year
