We are seeking energetic and passionate aspiring Team Leaders to lead and co-ordinate a team of operators, to manufacture product as required in the production plan, and drive a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
Reporting to the Shift Manager, your role will span Manufacture of products, Quality Processes, Continuous Improvement, Co-ordination of team activities and Product life cycle management.

**Key accountabilities**:

- We are seeking individuals who are assertive, confident, highly organised, and able to work well within a team and autonomously.
- Control line settings and take ownership from front end to back end of line process.
- Lead and co-ordinate a team of bakery operators in operating equipment and manufacturing product.
- Manufacture product as required in the production plan in accordance with specified procedures, in time, in full and within specification.
- Perform and co-ordinate product change overs, cleaning and minor adjustments to equipment.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement within the team to reduce waste, optimise the line and produce high quality consistent product.
- Maintain hygiene / GMP to acceptable level for area of responsibility
- Perform operator checks and complete documentation as required.
- Act as line relief to cover operators whilst they are on breaks.
- Escalate matters to Shift Managers that have the potential to impact on the lines ability to deliver the plan, product quality or OH&S
- Monitor operator competence and provide further guidance / training when required

**The successful applicants will possess**:

- Baking qualifications (preferable), Certificate IV in Food Manufacturing, or equivalent experience
- Strong previous experience in bakery manufacturing
- Proven leadership skills
- Intermediate computer skills - excel, word
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and OHS Standards.
- Ability to ensure staff are following standards and meeting targets.
- Ability to provide feedback to Managers on daily targets.
- Must have weekend availability - flexible working hours
- Ability to train employees and new casuals
- full working rights in Australia
