**About the business and the role**

**Barclay Engineering specialises in engineering solutions to the mining, power generation, marine, construction and hvac sectors throughout the world. We are a medium sized company and are QA/QC controlled in accordance with AS/NZS ISO 9001:2015 and are team orientated.**

**Job tasks and responsibilities**
- Understanding the project schedule requirements of the team and ensure resources allocated to achieve timing/program and its requirements via review of drawings and customer supplied information, including any site installation requirements.
- Produce manufacturing packages containing material lists where applicable.
- Ensure QA systems and filing system followed.
- Collaborate with stakeholders (Engineering, Sales, Projects and Production) throughout project to create & ensure overall accuracy.
- Highlight any contingency or assumptions.
- Problem solve and innovate.
- Recommend cost-reduction options.
- Handover information to Projects team at Kick-off Meeting.
- Maintain complete records of all project documentation, as required.
- Attend meetings as required.
- Drive continuous improvement of drafting processes.
- Other duties as required.

**Skills and experience**
- Past Drafting Experience
- Mechanical/fabrication manufacturing environment experience.
- Proactive and Customer focused approach, understanding the requirements of existing and new customers.
- Experience working with CAD systems, not limited to ACAD & Autodesk inventor or similar software. Revit software experience desirable
- Ability to multi-task, prioritise and manage time & team effectively.

**Technical/Operational**
- Software understanding/use of computers.
- Good numerical skills/reasoning.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret Engineering drawing and sketches.

**Interpersonal skills**
- Ability to liaise at all levels.
- Ability to operate independently or as part of a team.
- Clear communication - both written and verbal.

**Additional skills**
- Ability to handle pressure.
- Work as a team member.
- Good phone manner.
- Acoustic product knowledge.

**Salary**: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- CANNING VALE, WA 6155: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Work Authorisation:
