We are seeking a
**Teacher Aide** to undertake a range of tasks in supporting the needs of students, under the direction of the teacher, in our school.
Under supervision of the Support Teacher : Inclusive Education or nominee, the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander School Support Officer provides assistance to teachers, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students and their families to support improved student learning, and well-being and engagement outcomes. The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander School Support Officer:

- provides cultural and pastoral support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students within the school and their families.
- Possession of a current/valid Queensland Driver’s Licence and eligibility to work within Australia for the period of this appointment.
- Possession of a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement.

Ideally you will have:

- Previous experience as a Teacher Aide and/or hold a minimum a Cert 3 in Educational Support. Cert IV qualifications would be advantageous.
- Experience with MiniLit is desirable
- Proven communication and interpersonal skills
- An understanding of the work of a primary school classroom
- A willingness to work as part of a team
