**About the Role**:
The Investigations Analyst will be responsible for a range of vital security related functions including increasing security awareness and education across the VU Community, undertaking and supporting investigation into suspicious and illegal activities and ensuring a proactive and evidence-based approach to crime prevention and mitigation including developing strategies and recommendations.

As an Investigations Analyst, you'll have the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, employing analytical skills and strategic thinking to uncover critical insights and drive actionable outcomes.

This role offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and expand your existing skillset.

This position reports to the _Senior Manager, Campus Security _and is required on campus full time.

An example of your responsibilities or duties you may perform will include:

- Develop and implement an effective ongoing security awareness program that promotes the importance of and raises awareness of security within the VU Community
- Conduct comprehensive investigations into suspicious / illegal activities
- Work with law enforcement to support prosecution activities
- Gather and analyse evidence, documents, and data through interviews, document reviews, surveillance, and other investigative techniques.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, external partners, and law enforcement agencies as needed to support investigations and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Participate / support emergency and incident responses
- Preparation of regular reporting, briefing notes and statistical updates on security activity

**About You**:
It is essential that you possess:

- A strong customer focused approach and able to effectively engage with a variety of audiences
- Experience in crime investigation and engagement with law enforcement and emergency response service providers
- Experience in developing and delivering activities to support security awareness across a large organisation
- Comprehensive security and safety knowledge including compliance, incident management and OHS
- Digital aptitude and interest in expanding knowledge and skillset across cyber-physical and digital security technologies
- Experience with analysing and interpreting security data
- Experience undertaken risk assessments and develop mitigation and prevention strategies A current drivers' licence and WWCC
