Animal & Pest Attendant L Logan

Maxima has been engaged to recruit an Animal & Pest Services Attendant for a temp role within a Local Council.

This role will see you work Monday to Friday with some weekend and after hours work a possibility.

$31.53 + super.

**The Role**:

- Kennel Operations including:

- Cleaning and disinfection of food containers
- Removal and disposal of animal faeces
- Cleaning and disinfection of animal pens
- Cleaning and changing litter boxes
- Animal health monitoring
- Providing kennels and cattery domestic housekeeping such as changing bedding
- Operating the animal collection vehicle for privately impounded animals as required
- Retrieving impounded cats and dogs for the kennel operations counter
- Showing customers impounded cats and dogs for identification
- Exercising and grooming of impounded and sale animals
- Preparing pet food for specific animal needs i.e. special diets
- Feeding all impounded animals daily (including livestock)
- Monitoring of animal behaviour and reporting potential issues
- Assisting in the presentation of the Animal Management Centre and the Health Operations areas including weed and litter control

**About you**:

- Current C class license
- Previous experience working with animals, preferably in a kennel environment
- Understanding of animal husbandry, kennel and facility operations and animal disease transmission and prevention methods
- Computer literate
- Customer service skills
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills
- High attention to detail
- Current Tetanus and Qfever vaccinations or willing to get
