**To be eligible, you must (a) Have casual experience totalling at least two (2) teaching sessions at La Trobe University in the previous two (2) years; (b) Have not held a continuing position in a university in the previous three (3) years.**

La Trobe University’s Department of Archaeology and History is on the lookout for a Lecturer in History to join our esteemed School of Humanities & Social Sciences. This part-time (0.5 FTE) continuing role, based at our vibrant Melbourne (Bundoora) campus, offers the unique opportunity to engage with and inspire students studying our world, and its many pasts.

**About the position**:
As a Lecturer in History, you will:

- Shape the minds of students through engaging and thought-provoking lectures, tutorials, and workshops, in both online and face-to-face formats.
- Lead in curriculum design and development, employing innovative strategies to enhance the student learning experience.
- Engage in the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning, contributing to the broader academic community through research, publications, and conferences.
- A PhD in History or a closely related field, with a demonstrated track record of teaching excellence and curriculum development.
- An academic with a scholarly approach to teaching, who is comfortable using modern learning technologies and methodologies.
- A committed team player, capable of collaborating effectively within a diverse and inclusive academic environment.
