**ABOUT THE **ROLE**:
**Summary of the role**:
- The position sits within the FaPMI program and will contribute to the provision of a whole of family approach to service delivery. The FaMPI CYP worker will support the aims and delivery of the local FaMPI program with the FaMPI coordinators. The FaMPI CYP worker will focus on supporting children and young people up to 25 years old, including young carers. This position will help deliver the intention of the Royal Commission into Victoria’s Mental Health System to provide a stronger focus on early identification of young carers by both the mental health and the education system.
The FaMPI CYP worker will engage directly with children and young people in caring roles, assist in strengthening the young person’s existing support network within their family context. Enable access to more formal support services where there are identified gaps and informal supports. Provide practical support and information and connection to children and young people, including referrals to appropriate peer support programs. Support and develop partnerships with external
- Position is based at Saltwater Clinic but works across Mental Health & Wellbeing Services, 3 days per week.
**ABOUT YOU**:
- Education :Cert IV in Community Development or equivalent
- A current unrestricted Victorian Driver’s License and ability to drive a work vehicle
- Satisfactory National Police Record Check
- Current Victorian Working with Children Check
- Desirable:
- Ability to speak a second language relevant to the local community
- At least 6 months relevant employment within a similar role within the last 18 months
