- We are currently seeking an experienced Environmental and Sustainability Advisor to join our Team based in Brisbane or Perth.
- Your key role will be to provide Environmental and Sustainability advice, support, and guidance to ensure effective planning and implementation support for site and project environmental management.
- Assist with continually improving the environmental aspects of the HSE Management System and training programs. Review compliance in accordance with legislative, client and Sedgman environmental and sustainability requirements. Manage and improve processes for business-wide environmental and sustainability reporting.**Key responsibilities will include**
- Coordinate company NGER, ABS, and other legislative and Group sustainability and environmental reporting, including collation and review of site reported data
- Assis sites with implementation of reporting systems for environmental data to clients
- Support the maintainance of the Sedgman Dam Governance Process, with support from business unit HSE leads and specialists within the broader CIMIC group
- Participate in the internal audit program with a specific focus on site environment compliance, including targeted waste audits and audits against site EMP’s and support development of resulting action plans
- Assist with tender responses and draft tender environmental management plan development, liaising with specialist subconsultants as required
- Assist with the review project/site-specific environmental documentation and prepare Environmental Management Plans, to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and client expectations for Sedgman sites and projects, liaising with specialist subconsultants as required
- Preparation of technical reports relevant including Operational Plans, Environmental Management Reports, Environmental Monitoring Reports etc.
- Support development of strategy and delivery of allocated items within ESG action plan
- Assist with Business case development for implementation pathways for GHG reduction strategies
- Support collation of data from business units to develop positive ESG case studies

**What skills and experience do you need?**
- Bachelor of Science in relevant discipline / Bachelor of Environmental Engineering, or similar
- 2 to 5 years’ experience in environmental field
- Previous experience assisting with the the preparation of environmental management plans for work within heavy industry/construction (mining sites preferred)
- Knowledge and understanding of relevant Queensland, NSW and WA legislation and practice
- Experience in auditing against ISO14001 standard
- Experience in NGER reporting, sustainability reporting
- An ability to travel to site and regional offices as required
