**Automotive Light Vehicle Mechanic**

**Work Location: Cloudbreak**
- Fortescue’s Cloudbreak mine is located on the traditional lands of the Palyku and Nyiyaparli peoples.

**Roster**: 14D14R FIFO from Perth or Busselton

Fortescue is seeking an experienced and motivated Light Vehicle Mechanic to join the Cloudbreak Mobile Maintenance team. This permanent full-time position will be required to perform duties throughout the site as necessary.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Minimise machinery downtime, conduct preventative maintenance and maximise efficiency of industry plants and machinery to ensure ongoing productivity.
- Read and interpret drawings and specifications to determine job requirements.
- Inspect and repair plant equipment as required.
- Ensure material, Labour, plant and equipment is used as effectively and efficiently as possible.
- Overhaul, service and repair the mechanical parts including engines, gearboxes, clutches and brakes of cars, utilities, trucks and mobile plant.
- Stay on top of minor and major maintenance including oil changes, inspections, general servicing, and break downs.
- Participate in shift/swing hand over prior to finishing work to ensure other employees are aware of all relevant information.
- Ensure that all tools and equipment are clean and well maintained.
- Undertake all other reasonable tasks and duties that are peripheral to your role and within your skill and ability, as directed.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Trade qualified - Mechanical
- Auto electrical experience desirable.
- Previous experience in a similar role working on LV, HV and Mobile plant on a mine site.
- Air-conditioning, Tire fitting and wheel aligning experience desirable.
- Demonstrated attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and lead a team when needed.
- HR driver’s license desirable.
- Holding additional high-risk tickets and licenses will be beneficial.
