**About the opportunity**:
**The National Generation 2032 Coach Program (Gen 32 Program)**

The Gen 32 Program was instigated in July 2022 and aims to increase the number and diversity of Australian HP coaches across the system who can contribute positively to future Olympic, Paralympic and Commonwealth Games.

The Gen 32 Program is a future-facing, two-year intensive coach development program, with participating coaches (Gen 32 coaches) developing contemporary ways of delivering coaching to future generations of athletes through enhanced interpersonal and leadership skills, the incorporation of First Nations methodologies, exploring innovation and technology, and an increased understanding of athlete development. The program is delivered by the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) in partnership with National Sporting Organisations (NSOs), National Sporting Organisations for People with Disability (NSODs) and the National Institute Network (NIN)

NSWIS is offering employment opportunities to a small number of early career HP coaches for the role of Gen32 coach.

**About the role**

NSWIS will be offering employment opportunities to a small number of early career HP coaches for the role of Gen32 coach. The purpose of each role is to provide early career High Performance coaches the opportunity for a two year employment at NSWIS that will enable continuous education through the immersion into a Daily Performance Environment (DPE) of a HP program under the guidance from a technical coach and mentor.

A key component of the Gen32 will be participation in the AIS learning and development program which includes the AIS Learning Labs, Individual Coach Development Plan (ICDP) process, HP program visits and other initiatives.

This is a full-time position, attracting a salary range of $74,809 - $79,796 plus superannuation.

**Employment contracts will be offered to successful applicants, contingent upon their selection into the AIS Gen32 program following the NSWIS recruitment process.**

The contract period for this role is 1 January 2025 to 31 December 2026.

This is an identified position requiring a Working with Children Check.

**About you**

You will have:

- Australian citizen or has been granted permanent residence status.
- Been identified by the NSO/NSOD/NIN partner as a potential or current HP coach in their sport.
- Demonstrated experience in the sport for which you are nominated for as either a former elite level athlete, current sport scientist or other related HP role.
- Intention to become a career HP coach.
- Strong commitment to HP coaching as a continuing or new career path.
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing training and development.
- Willingness to engage in all facets of the Gen32 Program.

**Essential Requirements**
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Education, Career Guidance, Personal Development (Arts, Business, or Sciences undergraduate degree) or similar.
- Endorsement from an NSO/NSOD
- Awareness of contemporary issues relating to athletes in high performance sport (mental health, wellbeing, social issues)
- First Aid and CPR certificate
- Valid driver’s license
- Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- Sport Integrity Australia (SIA) - Anti-Doping Fundamentals and Annual Update
- A cover letter outlining how you meet the requirements and focus capabilities in the job description for the role (maximum 1 page)
- A confirmation of your endorsement from an NSO/NSOD
- An up to date CV outlining experience, qualifications and achievements (please include at least two referees)

This recruitment may be used to create a Talent Pool for similar future roles that may arise over the next 18 months.
