ENCAPSULATION MACHINE OPERATOR & FOOD PROCESS WORKER

**Position**

Our friendly Family-owned, and operated company is seeking an enthusiastic Production Worker with a focus on quality and attention to detail to join our Daytime production team.

Our business encapsulates and packages dry food powders for ourselves and other companies.
- You will be responsible for manufacturing, processing and packaging a wide range of food products and supplements

**Main tasks**

Core objectives include:

- Process and package food products with speed and efficiency
- Operate and monitor machinery and equipment
- Conduct basic maintenance on machinery and equipment
- Perform some heavy lifting moving raw and finished products around the work site
- Ensure the work environment is kept hygienic and clean
- Ensure finished goods meet minimum quality standards
- Ensure all work carried out is carried out in a safe manner for yourself and for other personnel according to the Workplace Health and Safety Act, Regulations and Codes of Practice

The above list is not exhaustive and the role may change to meet the overall objectives of the company.

**Other Duties**
- Conduct basic visual checks to ensure consistent quality
- Conduct basic documentation (packaging records, goods count etc.)
- Reactive cleaning (wipe spills, clean equipment, sweep floor etc.)
- Fulfil other duties as required by management and other department personnel as requested/required

**To be successful you will meet the following criteria**:

- Be an Australian Citizen or have a VISA allowing Full-time work.
- Able to commence immediately
- Be comfortable to work by yourself, without supervision (after training).
- Ability to show attention to detail, caring for small details and ensuring we produce the best possible final product
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
- Ability to meet company production target consistently
- Self-care manufacturing experience would be advantageous
- Physically fit or able to stand for most of your shift as this is a demanding role
- Demonstrated ability to work in a safe and responsible manner
- Must be punctual, reliable and be committed to working regular shifts
- Ability to troubleshoot and fix minor equipment issues as they arise

**Qualifications**:

- Completed Safe Food Handling online certificate (preferred, but not required)

- Has capacity to work with freeze-dried meat products (desirable)
- A degree of physical fitness and strength (desirable)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 20-38 per week

**Salary**: $44,500.00 - $55,000.00 per year

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
