Die Setter

Your duties will include
- Setting, changing and maintaining plastic injection moulding machines to meet production requirements in an efficient manner and at the appropriate quality standard.
- Undertaking all general injection moulding production and assembly activities as necessary
- Co-ordinating and supporting production shift staff to ensure good team outcomes

Specific Inputs:

- Change moulds as per production requirements
- Perform insert changes
- Set moulds to all machines and control processes, optimise machine cycle and output and agree parameter changes with plant manager and quality.
- Resolve technical moulding issues with a high degree of competence
- Ensure product is of an acceptable quality and in accordance with specifications liaise directly with Quality team members
- Liaise with Production Scheduling to ensure changes are prioritised as per the schedule
- Maintain compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with GMP, HACCP, ISO and OHS standards
- Ensure good housekeeping practices
- Recommend improvements to current work practices to promote efficient processes and cost reductions, Report major deviations to the Plant Manager
- Perform new product and material trials and validations
- Interpret & understand production schedules & works orders, assist with coordinating materials availability so as to maintain seamless production including at shift changeovers
- Support Production Staff with paperwork, quality issues, training and packing
- Relieve Production Staff for breaks and absences
- Approach the role with a Hands-On/Can-Do Attitude
- Be a team player with good communication
- Other duties as required

- Reduce changeover times
- Teamwork
