At BAE Systems we are all systems go as we continue to drive innovation and seek passionate and talented people to join our business. We currently have an opportunity for a General Hand/Trades Assistant as part of F-35 within Aerospace based in Williamtown, NSW.
BAE Systems Australia provides significant support to the global F-35 program which is the largest and most advanced military aircraft program in the world. In Australia, BAE Systems has brought our joint military aircraft expertise to the development, manufacture, integration and sustainment of the F-35.

Being part of a workplace In terms of more specific responsibilities, you will:

- Emptying and replacement of standard site and HAZchem bins
- Sweeping and mopping of Hangar floor
- Replenishment of paper towels, soaps and cleaning products at sink bays
- General maintenance and cleaning of sink bays
- General housekeeping
- Replenishment of First Aid supplies e.g. Eyewash station bottles (Expiry dates to be managed for audit and compliance purposes)
- Manage spill kits
- Cleaning duties as part of service - Future wash bays
- Consumable PPE
- HAZchem storage responsibility
- Replenishment of GUC materials
- Catalogue SE as required
- Distribute SE to support agencies as required
- Support GSE technicians with the management and distribution of calibrated equipment
- Expedite SE around site to support maintenance of aircraft
- General duties as required

**As an ideal applicant for this opportunity, you will have**:

- The ability to obtain and maintain a Defence security clearance of “Negative Vetting 1”
- The ability to motivate and influence others
- Proven ability to read and understand directions
- The ability to work within a safe working environment with the aim for zero harm

A Defence security clearance is required for these roles. Applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain appropriate clearance.
International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) are applicable and as such, your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.
