An exciting opportunity exists for a highly motivated and proactive Workers Compensation Claims professional to join Coles Team Cover as a Claims Specialist in a 12 month maternity leave, full-time role.

Reporting to the Claims Team Manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of self-insured workers compensation claims and will work closely with key stakeholders to achieve optimal return to work and claim outcomes.

**About the role**:
On a day-to-day basis this role will see you responsible for end-to-end claims management for a portfolio of self-insured workers compensation claims. This will include setting the claims strategy for claims from start to end and provide a great outcome for our business and team members.

You’ll also be:

- managing 50-60 Workers Compensation claims
- communicating and interacting with medical professionals to facilitate return to work
- participating in multidisciplinary reviews
- interacting and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders

**About you and your skills**:
A strong result driven professional with experience in claims management within a worker’s compensation or insurance environment. You’ll also need
- experience working as Case Officer in an Agent or Self insurer
- knowledge of the current Victorian Workers Compensation Legislation
- experience in negotiating Return to Work and rehabilitation outcomes
- effective interpersonal and communication capabilities with a customer service mindset
- ability to manage multiple priorities to meet agreed deadlines and a high attention to detail
- qualification or certification in a health or business-related field will be highly desirable
