- Are you a Fire/Comms Technician who has experience with Inspecting, testing and maintaining fire systems according to AS1851?_

**The Opportunity**

The Fire Technician is responsible for:

- Inspecting, testing and maintaining fire systems according to AS1851
- Fire systems to maintain include: gas suppression (IG-541 & FM200), fire pumps (Electrical & Diesel), deluge systems & hydrants, fire extinguishers, fire alarm & detection panels, emergency warning intercom systems, mechanical ventilation.
- Fault finding & investigations of fire systems.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Ability to read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams and schematics.
- Knowledge of troubleshooting and diagnostic techniques to identify system malfunctions.
- Knowledge of fire alarm systems, including components, circuit and codes.
- Knowledge of mechanical and hydraulic fire systems.
- Knowledge of fire safety laws and regulations
- Problem solving skills
- Ability to work in challenging environments such as tunnels and confined spaces
- Knowledge of SCADA & control system interfaces is desirable but not required.

**Qualifications & Educational Requirements**:

- RIW (Supervised Worker **(Desirable)**:

- EAHL 2+3** **(Desirable)**

**Work Experience**:

- Previous experience in a similar role - **Mandatory.**
