Our mission is to provide assistance to address the cause and effect of homelessness and poverty, as well as unemployment, faced by marginalised individuals. We succeed in achieving this through a combination of caring services like food provision, social welfare and education support.

**Our education team delivers** a high impact, phonics-based reading intervention program, called ‘All About Reading’ which supports primary school children acquire essential reading skills so that they can re-engage with learning across the curriculum.

**The opportunity**

We are seeking compassionate and talented people to fill multiple positions across Sydney in the role of Literacy Instructor to join our team and help us bring the ‘All About Reading’ program to life.

Working as a duo you'll play a key role in delivering the program to small groups of 6 to 8 children and provide intensive intervention 4 days per week across years 2 to 6.

The locations of the schools are as follows:

- Denistone East Public School
- Lethbridge Park Public School

**You will**
- deliver classes Monday to Thursday, 9am to 12pm
- have completed a Certificate IV in Education Support, studies in Primary Education and/or other relevant qualifications
- have sound knowledge of Phonics and English language
- promote a kind, respectful and inclusive learning environment
- collect and report student performance data
- work with students to deliver positive learning outcomes

**Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term, Contract
Contract length: 12 months

**Salary**: $40.50 per hour

Schedule:

- No weekends
