Who you are

As part of the IKEA Food department, you demonstrate passion, love and commitment to food preparation and cooking, food quality and its presentation. You have experience working in customer facing, fast paced environments and are enthusiastic about working with others in a team. You have excellent communication skills and demonstrate a polite and friendly manner.

Previous experience in hospitality, cookery or work is highly regarded. You are able to follow strict IKEA Food and HACCP policies and daily operational routines around quality and food safety, including temperature and date checks.

As our store operates 7 days per week, the successful applicant must have availability to work a rotating roster with a mix of day, evening and 3 out of 4 weekends.

**Your responsibilities**

As a Hospitality Co-worker you ensure your area is efficiently maintained as well as clean, organised, attractive and inviting to provide a positive customer experience. You are responsible for, but not limited to:

- Kitchen Operation - Food preparation, cooking and customer service with a focus on food safety, controlling waste, and following production levels and cooking methods.
- Dishwash - Processing dishes and maintaining the washing up area and machines whilst supporting and maintaining the cleanliness of the customer restaurant.
- Swedish Food Market and Bistro - Active selling, cash handling, customer service, food preparation and cooking.

You will ensure that you have the customer’s best interest in mind, through the production of our delicious Swedish dishes

The hourly base rate for this role is $26.36, plus penalty rates.
