Fitter Armourer

Are you an experienced Fitter / Armourer looking for a new job opportunity? Skout Solutions is offering a casual assignment on our Defence contract, at the Amberley RAAF Base.

On this contract, armourers conduct on-site maintenance tasks, including technical equipment inspection and parts classification within specific time-frames.

**Responsibilities**
- Repair and maintain miscellaneous equipment such as small engines and general service equipment
- Conduct various weapon maintenance tasks, varying from installation and repair through to the reconditioning of military armaments
- Review accuracy and quality of finished parts, tools or sub-assemblies.
- Operate machines to produce or modify required parts or tools
- Keep records of tasks, documentation and other faults observed during inspections
- Provide feedback and technical advice to equipment operators
- Fit and assemble parts
- Conduct data entry tasks

Safety and Defence-related training will be provided.

**Qualifications, Experience and Knowledge**
- Trade qualified fitter and turner (Cert III Engineering - Mechanical or equivalent)
- Small engines qualification or experience (desired)
- Armourer experience and/or qualifications
- Current Drivers Licence
- Experience operating lathes, millers and other metal working machines
- Possess equivalent qualification to safely operate and maintain Automated Test Equipment
- You must be an Australian Citizen and be able to obtain an ADF Clearance.
