DSV Air and Sea is seeking to hire a skilled and passionate Manager Operations in Forrestfield, Perth.

The position is responsible for directing and administering the overall operational efforts of the branch, including freight, customs, commercial and warehouse.

**Your typical day at DSV**:

- Contribute to and ensure local operational strategy is adhered to
- Ensure that financial management (overheads, expenditure, billing and invoicing) is carried out in accordance with company requirements
- Ensure that current operation complies as per the regulations and rules of the government authorities and company
- Establish and maintain freight and customer relationships. Monitor and report on KPI’s
- Formulate and implement action plans to address non-conformance
- Be responsible for the overall performance for the customs operations and ensure management intensity is maintained in key performance areas
- Facilitate the provision of operational supports including documentation, synchronisation of origin/destination zone transport, customs formalities and the overall scope of the door to door trade
- Direct, guide and support staff to achieve optimum performance
- Data base management including invoicing and quoting
- Ensure effective and timely delivery of customer commitments by the organisation
- Lead, direct and support daily operations as well as spearheading the development and rollout of improvement initiatives.
- Monitor costs and revenue for the operations and address anomalies
- Ensure timely, attentive and appropriate communication with internal and external stakeholders - including staff, suppliers and customers.

**About You**:

- Experience in a senior freight operations or similar position
- Experience with CargoWise One and reporting
- Extensive experience in all aspects of freight management ensuring profitability of operations, optimizing business process and resources
- Good people management skills
