**The opportunity**
As our Regulatory Analyst, you will provide key support in conducting economic analyses related to pricing, tariffs, and financial performance. You develop regulatory models to forecast revenue (pricing and demand) expenditure and pricing to support GWW’s customers and community.
**Responsibilities**
- Reporting - Support regular reporting on GWW’s performance data and the development of papers for management, the Board and our stakeholders.
- Data analysis - You will work collaboratively and support GWW’s regulatory reporting and data analytics function.
- Regulatory submissions - With support and mentorship, you will assist with preparing key data inputs and models for regulatory submissions, such as price submissions, pricing and tariff analysis, expenditure data analysis, new customer contribution charges, and regulatory accounting statements.
- Forecasting - With support and mentorship, you will contribute to the development of GWW’s demand forecasting as it relates to pricing and corporate plan forecasting.
- Stakeholder management - Collaborate with external stakeholders in preparing joint forecasts.
- Tariff and pricing analysis - Support the annual retail prices update, maintain pricing policies and procedures to ensure prices are calculated according to regulatory principles and are applied accurately.
**Skills & Experience**
- Proven experience working within a regulated entity (water or other regulated industry), economic regulator or consultant.
- Experience with analysis of large data sets and building financial models.
- Demonstrated experience in forecasting and trend analysis.
- Understanding of the regulatory framework under which we operate.
- Understanding of financial reporting and metrics (desirable).
- Tertiary qualification in economics, finance, engineering, or quantitative discipline.
