**Data and Insights Analyst**

**We will count on you to**:

- Develop performance metrics and frameworks to report on the performance of our marketing products and services.
- Support the Marketing Automation program with regular analysis on the performance of the existing automation program and deliver insights and recommendations to support new automation opportunities.
- Support the Marketing teams with analysis to support campaign planning, audience segmentation and extracting data for campaigns.
- Deliver analytics projects and insights on particular member problems.
- Deliver specific and regular member reporting for management and operational needs, automating reporting wherever possible.
- Deliver competitor analysis as well as industry trends and benchmarks to inform and guide marketing and member engagement strategy as well as product development.
- Peer review of work generated by other members of the Insights & Analytics team
- Ensure compliance with all Mercer/MMC policies data handling, privacy and other policies.
- Ensure all SLA reporting for clients is delivered on time and in full.
- Automate reporting (where possible and/or to the extent possible) and leverage available tools (e.g., SQL, Tableau, MS Excel) to maximise efficiencies.
- Identify opportunities for improvement in existing reporting (including approach, visuals, methodological efficiencies, etc.) and implement solutions to address those opportunities
- Work with other teams internally to create packaged analytics/data solutions for selling to clients.

**What you need to have**:

- 5+ years of experience in an analytical role
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to derive insights based on data and translate those insights into recommendations for Mercer and its clients
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Strong organisation and planning skills to deliver work on time and to a high standard.
- Technical expertise including Intermediate to advanced knowledge of SQL, Excel and Tableau (or other data visualisation tools) -is **essential**:

- Knowledge of R and/or managing ETLs a plus
- Knowledge of the Superannuation industry is desirable.
