The Brand and Marketing Communications team is part of the Marketing and Recruitment Division within the Futures Portfolio and supports the University by leading the strategy and governance of the Deakin brand and the delivery of recruitment campaigns, priority initiatives, communications, social media, content marketing and content to build Deakin's brand and reputation globally and grow market share.

Reporting to the Manager, Social Media & Content this position works closely with staff across the Marketing and Recruitment Division, including the performance and growth, faculty marketing, market insights, and future student recruitment teams, and collaborates with staff across the University, including, Media, Alumni and Community Relations units, Deakin International, Division of Student Administration, Division of Student Life, eSolutions, and general and academic staff.

**Your key responsibilities will include**:

- Developing, writing, editing, producing and publishing multimedia and video content, across a range of Deakin’s channels to support brand marketing, recruitment and conversion activities.
- Managing multimedia and video content projects across the university, sourcing talent, scripting, storyboarding, filming and editing.
- Working with external agencies/suppliers to produce and/or edit video content, ensuring projects are delivered on time, to brief and budget.
- Managing the on-going maintenance of multimedia and video content for a range of assets, to ensure these assets remain up-to-date and meet the changing needs of the business.
- Maintaining an understanding of the latest trends in the industry, and review and implement strategies accordingly.
- Assisting in the maintenance of Deakin’s asset management system, including video production guidelines and providing multimedia and video production advice to university colleagues, where appropriate.

**To be successful, you’ll have**:
Qualifications and experience:

- Tertiary degree in multimedia, film, television and animation production, digital media, journalism, communications, marketing, advertising or other related areas, and specialist knowledge in video or multimedia content production.
- Experience in media, advertising, creative or design agency - with a focus on production of multimedia or video content for a range of digital channels.
- Experience working as a video or multimedia producer in a large organisation or digital agency.
- Or combination of relevant experience and/or education/training (Media, advertising).
