Boilermaker

Synergia One are currently seeking a number of casual Boilermakers with experience in structural metal work and general boiler making duties. This position currently offers casual hours between Monday to Friday with the potential for weekend work. There is potential for full time after the probation period. Our workshop is located in Brendale, Queensland.

Job Responsibilities:

- Ensure sufficient task analysis are completed to carry work out safely.
- Perform assigned duties in a timely and safe manner.
- Maintain and use equipment as designed, ensuring tools of trade have been checked as safe to operate and report to workshop supervisor any repairs that are needed.
- General boiler making duties including the use of grinding, cutting (friction and gas cutting), welding (GMAW, TIG, Stick), polishing, cropping, pressing, heat treatment and stress relieving of steels.
- Record project details on all steel components as per control sheets and drawings.
- Ensure that work is performed as per Job Packs and current schedule of works.
- Ensure all work is carried out to quality and specification requirements and that documentation is completed on time.
- Co-ordinate and work in a team environment.
- Assist in the management of harmonious environment, team building, and training of apprentices and other employees as required.
- Adhere to Company Policies, Procedures and IMS.
- Adhere to Health and Safety including duty of care.

About you:

- Trade qualified, minimum of 3 years' experience in the field.
- Sound knowledge of QA processes and strong communication skills.
- Physically Fit. Strength to handle materials, tools, and machines.
- Potential to work overtime as needed
- Preferable Forklift Licence and Working at Heights.
- Welding must be to a minimum standard of AS.1554

QUALIFICATION AND LICENSES REQUIRED
- Currently must hold a Queensland Manual Drivers Licence and have their own mode of transport.
- Construction White Card.
- Certificate 3 in Engineering - Boilermaking
