**Role Description/Criteria**
**OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE**
The VET Coordinator is central to the implementation of the Educational Strategic Plan at Padua College. In partnership with the Learning and Teaching Team, the VET Coordinator ensures the delivery of a comprehensive Vocational Educational and Training program at Padua College.
All Victorian education certificates are valuable and recognise the importance of flexible, personalised learning pathways that prepare students for further study, training and/or the workplace. The role of the VET Coordinator is to work in conjunction with the Assistant Heads of Campus - Learning and Pedagogy, Careers Leader, Head of Applied Learning Pathways, Applied Learning Leader, Administrative Assistant and VASS Administrator to ensure the best possible pathway for each student. The VET Coordinator is a member of the Senior Pathways Team.
The VET Coordinator, with the support of the Administrative Assistant, is responsible for the strategic implementation, delivery, promotion and continuation of Vocational Education and Training (VET) programs offered to students at Padua College, through both internal and external programs. The VET Coordinator with the support of the Administrative Assistant is responsible for the development and maintenance of effective partnerships and relationships with industry, organisations, and business, including training and educational institutions.
The VET Coordinator is a key member of the Senior Pathways Team, reports directly to the Vice Principal Learning and Teaching, and is guided by Assistant Head of Campus - Learning and Pedagogy.
**MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY**
The responsibilities of the VET Coordinator include but are not limited to:
i. overseeing the delivery of VET programs for Padua students at the College;
ii. coordinating, in conjunction with the administrative assistant, student enrolment and monitoring student enrolment and progress in internal courses and external courses with VET providers;
iii. promoting the provision of VET programs to the College Community; and
iv. performing other duties and implementing decisions as requested by the Principal and/or members of the College Improvement Team.
