**ABOUT THE ROLE**:
**Summary of the role**:

- Opportunity for AGES Fellow to join Mercy Hospital for Women and Royal Women’s Hospital in a 2 year position (1 year at each site) commencing Feb 2024.- 24 months fixed term contract ( 2 x 12 month contract)
- Suitable for an applicant who is accredited to undertake AGES training
- Obstetric and general gynaecology duties also required as job includes participation in weekend registrar roster at Mercy Hospital for Women
- Based at the Mercy Hospital for Women in Heidelberg and Royal Women’s Hospital, Parkville.
- Provide care for inpatients, outpatients and the Emergency Department within the rules pertaining to Registrars/Residents/Fellows.
- Responsible for the completion of discharge summaries and coding
- Employment terms as per the Australian Medical Association (Victoria) Hospital Medical Officer Certified Agreement
- Salary is in line with the Enterprise Agreement and will be based on your years of experience.

**- Current registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- AGES endorsed training position
- Highly developed and up to date clinical and theoretical knowledge
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships with people at all levels and work collaboratively with a diverse team

- Mercy Hospital for Women is a fully accredited Level 6 Public Specialist Teaching Hospital providing both public and private patient care through maternity services, neonatology and paediatrics, perioperative services, gynaecology, women's health and associated health, support and diagnostic services. We are a major teaching hospital and specialist referral centre with the medical, nursing, midwifery and allied health expertise to treat the most complex obstetric, neonatal and gynaecological cases.
