**About the role**:
Gippsland’s local TAFE is seeking a highly enthusiastic and motivated Placement Coordinator to oversee and coordinate the practical placements of our Early Childhood & Community Services students. The Placement Coordinator works closely with the Program Manager and teaching team within a designated program area, to drive and implement continuous improvement of the current placement process.

The Placement Coordinator liaises with organisations across Gippsland to source placement opportunities for our students and establishes and maintains effective working relationships and networks. The Placement Coordinator facilitates open and transparent communication between all stakeholders including teachers, students, hosts, and employers. The Placement Coordinator actively participates in relevant focus groups, events, and other forums, and supports the establishment, maintenance, and development of vocational placement steering committees.

As the Placement Coordinator, you are an exceptional communicator with the ability to influence, negotiate and gain cooperation. You are adept at building and managing effective stakeholder relationships at all levels. You enjoy engaging with people, have a proactive approach to your work and the desire to assist students to gain the skills they need.

**Mandatory requirements**:

- Certificate IV in Business Administration or equivalent plus demonstrated relevant experience, OR at least 3 years’ experience in an administrative support role at a high level
- Current Victorian Working with Children Clearance
- Current Police Check (not older than 12 months)
- Current Covid-19 Vaccination Certificate
- Current drivers licence as travel is required between campuses and to external organisations
