**Lead positive patient outcomes within our Gastroenterology Service with SALHN**

The **Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology** brings together staff from academic and clinical backgrounds in medical, surgical, scientific, nursing and allied health to work towards better patient care through an integrated approach to digestive health. The department provides a focus for education and research activities in digestive health.

**About the Role**:
Your **responsibilities** will include:

- Provide comprehensive clinical care to patients with gastrointestinal and hepatological conditions in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care and disease prevention programs.
- Support academic activities including teaching and training of medical students, residents, and other healthcare professionals.

To be **successful** in this role, you will have:

- Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent degree;
- Appropriate Specialist Qualifications and registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with Specialist registration, or another qualification as defined in the SA Medical Officers Award;
- Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) with advanced training in gastroenterology, or an equivalent qualification; and
- Conjoint Committee accreditation in upper and lower gastrointestinal endoscopy.
