**About Us**:
We are currently seeking a Tax Advisor to join our Wesfarmers Health Finance team. The selected Tax Advisor will work in close collaboration with the Tax Manager to ensure the accurate and efficient fulfillment of our division’s tax compliance and tax accounting/reporting obligations.

In this pivotal position, you will play an integral role in actively contributing to the delivery of high-quality tax-related services to our well-regarded and valued Divisional Finance team and the wider Wesfarmers Health business, with the opportunity to not only expand tax technical knowledge but also grow commercial acumen.

**The responsibilities for this role include**:

- Collaborate with Tax Manager for timely and high-quality operational tax advisory support.
- Support the development and profile of the Divisional Tax team as a proactive business partner.
- Lead preparation of annual Australian income tax return using Wesfarmers' compliance software.
- Assist in preparing annual New Zealand income tax return for Division's NZ businesses.
- Prepare annual Australian Country-by-Country Reporting information for Wesfarmers Group Tax team.
- Prepare monthly ATO lodgements (BAS, Instalment Activity Statements) and PAYG income information.
- Lead preparation and initial review of annual Australian Fringe Benefits Tax returns.
- Lead the preparation of half and full-year income tax accounting calculations for the Division.
- Collaborate with Finance team to maintain tax fixed asset registers and depreciation rates.
- Supporting M&A initiatives and business integration activities.
- Timely and accurate completion of compliance obligations.
- Identify process and system improvements for enhanced efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with Wesfarmers Statutory Reporting deadlines.
- Resolve external auditor queries.
- Maintain accurate tax documentation for compliance, accounting, and advice.
- Stay updated on tax legislation and communicate its impact to Divisional stakeholders.

**About the Role**:

- 4+ years of experience in professional services (Tax Division or Business Services)
- Proficient in income tax legislation, technical issues, and preparing tax returns and workpapers.
- Detailed knowledge of IAS 12/AASB 112 and experience in tax-effect accounting calculations and statutory report disclosures/income tax notes.
- Familiarity and working knowledge of GST and FBT.
- Strong foundational tax technical knowledge.
- Advantageous to have experience with SAP and ThomsonReuters Onesource Corporate Tax and FBT software.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Enthusiastic, self-motivated and eager to learn about the business.
- Adaptability and ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

- Degree qualification in Commerce/Accounting and CA/CPA qualification.
