Head Barista/supervisor

Undercover Roasters are a small, but growing, fast paced team of coffee lovers with multiple coffee related businesses including wholesaling/roasting brands and flagship cafes.

We are looking for a full-time Head Barista/FOH supervisor for our flagship cafe in Abbotsford, someone with a strong understanding of specialty coffee and Melbourne's coffee culture to manage all things coffee behind the bar.

You will be working alongside our head roaster and will assist with developing recipes for espresso and filter coffees, as well as taking care of day to day service and ensuring the cafe is running smoothly.
- 2-3 years coffee experience and 1 year of supervisor experience
- Be hardworking, motivated and flexible
- A passion for coffee and the hospitality industry
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with BOH and FOH staff
- Stock control capabilities
- Ability to work one weekend day
- Current RSA

Responsibilities include:

- Opening/closing of the cafe
- Dialling in coffee
- Preparation of coffee and cold drinks
- Creating recipes for new filter and espresso single origins
- Day to day cafe supervision
- Operation of POS
- Providing a high level of attentive and friendly customer service

This role requires an immediate start.

**Salary**: From $60,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

**Experience**:

- Barista: 2 years (preferred)
- Supervising: 1 year (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (preferred)
