**The Role**

And now, we're looking for a Merchandise Assistant to join the Merchandise & Planning team in this pivotal role, responsible for organising all of the administrative activities that facilitate the smooth allocation, replenishment & delivery stock from the Distribution Centre to stores.

The Merchandise Assistant is responsible for (but not limited to) the following duties:

- Pre-allocate new products before they arrive at the Distribution Centre
- Allocating weekly replenishment from the Distribution Centre to stores
- Assist the Product Team to maintain stock reorders
- Amend allocations or replenishment as directed by the Merchandiser or Merchandise Assistant
- Create and maintain purchase orders on the JD system within a specific product area
- Assist the Merchandiser with ensuring all purchase orders are received and processed by the Distribution Centre
- Produce price amendments as directed by Merchandiser/Assistant Merchandiser and communicate to Retail
- Review all costs, retail and GM within a specific product file prior to receipt highlighting to Merchandiser and wider team and amending as directed
- Create and compile reports where necessary for both internal and external vendors

**Who You Are**
- Experience in the Retail Industry is essential
- Prior experience in a similar role is advantageous
- Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Office skills
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Able to handle large volume of tasks and work to tight deadlines
- Self-motivated individual who is willing to learn
