Mechanical Draftsperson

There is now an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Design Draftsperson to join the Engineered to Order (ETO) Engineering Team on a permanent, full-time basis.

The Mechanical Draftsperson is responsible for:

- the creation of detailed drawings suitable for the production of high-quality mining equipment; and
- the preliminary layout and design of various aspects of high-quality mining equipment, often under mínimal supervision.

Having demonstrated experience in modelling and drafting within a 3D software environment, the role will carry out preliminary detailed design as directed and produce detailed drawings required to progress any given part or assembly from 3D models to completed drawings.

**SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE**

**Required**
- Demonstrated experience in 3D modelling and detailed drafting of fabrication drawings within a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated commitment to quality engineering
- Basic knowledge of material sciences
- Basic knowledge of hydraulic principles and design
- Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment
- Ability to work under mínimal supervision

**Desirable**
- Diploma of engineering or equivalent / higher-level qualification
- Trade experience in a related industry
- Demonstrably strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to work in a small team to accomplish project goals

Undergraduate or recently Graduated Mechanical Engineers will be considered for this role.
