**About the role**

We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Officer to join our team. You will have overall responsibility for accounts receivable, accounts payable and payroll functions, ensuring timeliness and accuracy of all general ledger transactions to facilitate quality management reporting is delivered in full and on time by external accountant.

You will provide key financial, clerical, and administrative support to ensure timely and accurate; preparation, processing and distribution of customer invoices, preparation and processing of payroll, processing of purchase invoices, proactive collection and receipting of incoming customer receipts, and preparation of supplier payment runs and follow up of overdue invoices.

**About you**
- Experience with accounts payable and/or accounts receivable
- Excellent attention to detail with a dedication to accuracy
- Strong communications skills, both verbal and written
- An ability to prioritise and manage expectations
- Good organisational skills and a strong process mindset
- Customer focused and ability to adapt to different personality types

**Responsibilities**
- Timely creation, processing and distribution of customer invoices
- Source customer remittances and process customer receipts.
- Ensure timely customer payments with terms by sending bill reminders and proactively liaising with customers addressing invoice queries.
- Code, file and process accounts payable invoices in XERO.
- Obtain appropriate approvals for accounts payable invoices.
- Management of fortnightly supplier payment runs.
- Processing fortnightly payroll
- Processing, submission and remittance of IAS and BAS
- Assing with staff payroll enquires
- Process debit card expense transactions in XERO.
- Assisting with month-end duties for external accountant
- Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, posting, and recording accounts receivables and accounts payable data.
- Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.
- Other ad-hoc tasks to support the wider PAA Team

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: From $28.45 per hour

Expected hours: 19 per week
