**headspace Ashfield is looking for a receptionist For a part-time, Max Term until April 2024.**

headspace is the National Youth Mental Health Foundation providing early intervention mental health services to 12-25 year olds. Our vision is to improve young people’s mental, social and emotional wellbeing through the provision of high quality, integrated services when and where they are needed. headspace Brookvale has been managed by New Horizons since 2015 with the support of a number of local youth services who form a consortium.

**This is a part-time position, max-term position with working days on**
**Thursday & Friday**
**.**

**The Day to Day**
- Provide a warm welcome to our young people, their friends, and families and other visitors to the centre.
- Work effectively as a part of the wider team to support young people accessing services at the headspace Brookvale.
- Provide daily administrative support including diary management, appointment bookings, room allocation and billing.
- Ensure that client records are accurately recorded and maintained in our electronic medical record.
- Maintain client and staff confidentiality at all times.

**What you need to have**
- 2 years previous experience in a receptionist role. Experience in health in advantageous.
- A youth focused approach. The ability to engage with young people and their families in a warm and empathetic way is essential.
- Previous experience working with young people and their families is ideal.
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills both in person and on the phone.
- Highly developed customer service focus and skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritise a busy workload and competing work demands.
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities.
- Relevant medical or allied health practice experience and/or general customer service experience of at least 2 years.
- Knowledge and understanding of the health and wellbeing issues impacting young people.
