**About the role**

As an Operator Maintainer you will be responsible for maintaining track by operating and maintaining all plant and equipment associated with the Resurfacing team. The team work throughout the region with the requirement to work away from home on an 8 on 6 off roster

**In this role you will**:

- Operate machinery ensuring all aspects of work are compliant with Queensland Rail’s policies and safe work procedures
- Carry out regular servicing and maintenance on all on-track and auxiliary plant
- Liaise with the Resurfacing Supervisor regarding program requirements
- Assist tradesperson with mechanical/electrical repairs/maintenance as required
- Undertake accurate and timely administrative and recording duties

We promote development in our team and in addition to the above-mentioned training you will have the opportunity to gain a MR licence, High Risk Work Licence (DG) and Working Safely at Heights ticket.

In this unique opportunity you will operate specialised on-track and auxiliary plant such as this Track Resurfacing Machine.

**About you**
- Current drivers’ licence
- Team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated commitment to safety
- Must have capacity to travel and work within Regional Queensland
- Must have the flexibility to work some overtime and weekends when required
