**Your new role**:
As Pre-Refit Condition Assessment (PRCA) Technician you will be accountable for the supervision and implementation of installation, repair and commissioning of systems in accordance with the contractual and Company requirements in order to achieve the required business performance.

**Reporting to the Technician team Lead you will**:

- Provide expert technical (hands on) services to projects
- Defect analysis, resolution and provision of detailed technical reports
- Preparation of technical detail to enable responses to tenders and quotations.
- Assist in the design, construction and testing and acceptance of systems.
- Development and/or preparation of accurate technical documentation including test procedures and reports.
- Provide input to planning and maintenance of schedules.
- Management and prioritisation of resources to meet company and client expectations.
- Be available to deploy to undertake installation or maintenance tasks.
- Actively participate in problem solving teams, contributing to system improvement.
- Working under mínimal supervision, manage own time to address competing task priorities, ensuring all tasking is completed in accordance with assigned budget, schedule and priority.
- Effectively communicate with all stakeholder groups raising issues to relevant stakeholder(s) in an objective, professional and timely manner.

**About you**:
**As an applicant for this opportunity, you'll have**:

- Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain.
- Demonstrated experience of installation, integration, set to work, acceptance testing and defect repair in the area of specific technical expertise.
- Experience in a technical position requiring extensive knowledge in the use of specialised test equipment and tools.
- Significant experience in fault finding techniques with the ability to diagnose and rectify complex technical problems.
- Experience as an ex member of the Royal Australian Navy, in the Marine Engineering branch (Desirable).
- Ability to deploy to sea and interstate as required.

**Clearances**:
As Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain the appropriate clearance.
