- The ability to work both under direct supervision and autonomously when required
- A willingness to travel to various work sites locally and nationally
- Extensive knowledge on routine servicing, inspections, breakdowns & planned maintenance of fixed plant
- Proven and relevant experience working on plant such as pumps, heat exchanges, valves, vessels & gearboxes
- A good level of physical fitness
- A Current drivers’ licence is preferable for the role
- The ability of pass a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol screening
- Enthusiasm, responsibility and pride in what you do

Tasks will include:

- Examine detailed drawings and specifications to assess materials and equipment required to complete job task
- Attend work sites in various locations and perform tasks to client’s instructions
- Overhaul a wide range of plant and rotating equipment including pumps, valves, gearboxes, hydraulic components and marine propulsion systems
- Sketch components and identify parts for repair or replacement
- Perform basic fabrication and welding using various metals
- Inspect component parts with calibrated measuring equipment
- Operate laser aligning equipment to align pumps, motors and gearboxes
- Perform hydrostatic pressure testing and compile client report
- Operate manual machine tools to manufacture various components
- Produce sketches, photos and documentation required to compile client report
- Complete HE job packs in accordance with job procedure
- Operate various plant and machinery including cranes forklifts and EWP
- Keep working areas clean and tidy and adhere to HE safety policy and procedure

This a great opportunity to join a widely recognised and respected engineering company that has been in operation for over 50 years with a proposed salary range of $69,160 - $75,000.

**Salary**: From $35.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Overtime
- Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay
