We are currently looking for Cadet Designer to join our team based in Perth to support ongoing business success and growth for 2025.
**About the role**
As a Cadet Designer, an interest in mining and minerals and a little understanding in the design process would be advantageous.
- Work as part of the Design Services team, assisting with the development of planning and design projects.
- Develop your skills by assisting in the preparation of 3D mechanical models and 2D mechanical drawings for industrial and mining projects.
- Acquiring more detailed knowledge and understanding of mechanical planning and design principles, policies, standards, and guidelines.
- Interface with other disciplines (civil/earthwork, architectural, structural, piping, electrical) to understand how mechanical drawings are incorporated with other discipline requirements.
- Comply with all Ausenco corporate policies and procedures by adopting Ausenco Quality Assurance and Occupational Health, Safety, and Environment policies, procedures, and requirements.
- Further your study by gaining the Certificate 4 in Engineering - Drafting.
- Participate and graduate from the Ausenco New Professional Program (NPP).

**About you**
- An interest/understanding of design/drafting.
- Current study or have attained Certificate 3 in Engineering - Technical, from a recognised institution.
- Willingness to further studies by gaining the Certificate 4 in Engineering - Drafting.
- Participate and graduate from the Ausenco New Professional Program (NPP).
- Clear written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as a member of a team is a must.
- Previous experience in a similar organisation is an asset.
