Due to a number of new projects starting we are seeking a qualified Carpenter to join the team.

**The Applicant**

You will need to be fully qualified and have proven experience of at least 2-3 years post qualification/apprenticeship and must have the legal right to work in Australia.

As well as:

- Be a skilled trades person who takes pride in their work

- Have the ability to follow precise direction
- The ability to work unsupervised
- Have leadership qualities
- Be pro-active rather than re-active
- Have good communication skills
- Be reliable and honest
- Be punctual
- The ability to work alone or in a team environment
- Be well-mannered, presentable and professional
- Must have own tools

**Job tasks and responsibilities**

This role requires the Carpenter to perform various duties which include, but not limited to:

- Complete Set-outs, Framing, Lockup and Fixes
- May be required to train a future apprentice.
- Responsible for a safe site and safe work practices
- Complete work as per plans and specifications
- Provide material quantities and take-offs
- Ensure all company assets are secure and used safely and competently
- Must be confident and able to run a site when the builder is not present

**Required licences and certifications**
- ‪Red or White card
- ‪Drivers Licence and must have own Vehicle
- ‪Be a qualified Carpenter with leading hand qualities.
- Knowledge of Workplace, Occupation Health and Safety regulations

**Hours** - 7.00am - 3.30pm Monday - Friday and the occasional Saturday.

**Position** : Full-time Contract or Permanent.

**Salary**: Negotiable on experience

**Salary**: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay
- Performance bonus

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Melbourne VIC: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Carpentry: 4 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- White Card (required)
- Work Safely at Heights (preferred)
- Driver Licence (required)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (required)
