With a keen focus on delivering engineering designed solutions in the follow disciplines: Structural, Mechanical & Piping (SMP) for both browns & greens field projects, our current capability includes project management, engineering, design, 3D modelling, 2D drafting & laser scanning. SFDesign also offers consignment services of which our designers/ drafters work on our client's premises, as part of their team, on a project-by-project basis.

SFDesign is seeking a talented professional with a minimum of 5 years of experience to join our dynamic team.

**About the role and tasks**

As an Inventor Designer/Draftsperson, you will play a crucial role in the design and drafting processes, contributing to the successful completion of diverse projects.

Your duties will include:

- Utilize Autodesk Inventor software to create detailed and accurate 3D models for a variety of projects.
- Produce high-quality drawings and documentation, ensuring alignment with industry standards and project specifications.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers and project managers, to understand design requirements and contribute to project success.
- Bring creative solutions to design challenges, contributing to the development of efficient and effective products.
- Conduct thorough reviews of designs and drawings to ensure precision, completeness, and compliance with established standards.
- Address design challenges and collaborate with the project team to develop effective solutions.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including design files and specifications.

**Selection Criteria**

- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Inventor Designer/Draftsperson in a relevant field.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
- Demonstrated expertise in Autodesk Inventor software.
- Showcase a portfolio of past projects and designs, highlighting your skills and experience.
- Must have the right to work full-time in Australia.

- 3D modelling & drafting competency in other CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
- Comprehensive knowledge of Australian Standards.
- Understanding of design techniques, tools, & principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, & models.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address design challenges effectively.
- Exceptional attention to detail to ensure accuracy and precision in design work.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a team.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and deliver high-quality results.
