**The Role**

In this role you will:

- Conduct thorough and systematic literature reviews to stay abreast of the latest developments in vaccine mandates and COVID-19 vaccine uptake.
- Design and implement rigorous research methodologies to evaluate the impact of vaccine mandates and their removal on vaccine uptake in diverse populations and jurisdictions.
- Stay engaged with international collaborators and stakeholders to ensure the relevance and applicability of the research outcomes.

This 3 year fixed term position is full time and will be located at the Newcastle City Campus (Awabakal and Worimi land).

**How will you become part of our community?**
- Proven track record of conducting impactful research projects, preferably related to vaccine mandates, immunization programs, or public health interventions.
- Proficient in utilising advanced statistical methods, software and causal inference techniques for analysing complex datasets.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to articulate research findings to both scientific and non-scientific audiences.
- Familiarity with international public health policies and practices, especially in the context of COVID-19, is highly desirable.

PhD in a relevant field and a publication record in peer-reviewed journals is preferred.

**How will we support you?**

The remuneration for this position is from $108,382 - $128,705 + 17% superannuation.
