Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Assisting the plasterer with measuring, marking, and cutting plasterboard and other materials.
- Following the instructions, blueprints, and specifications for the plastering work.
- Using and maintaining plastering tools and equipment, such as trowels, floats, hammers, saws, etc.
- Observing and adhering to the safety rules and regulations on the worksite.
- Attending off-the-job training at a registered training organisation (RTO) to complete the required units of competency.
- Completing assignments and assessments as part of the training program.
- Seeking feedback and guidance from the plasterer and the RTO trainer.
- Developing and demonstrating the skills and knowledge of plastering.
- Ensure that work is performed in accordance with Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS), Project Safety Management Plans (PSMP) and quality standards.

Successful applicants must have:

- Completion of Year 10 or equivalent
- Completion of pre-apprenticeship
- Holder of Construction Induction Card (White Card)
- Holder of First Aid Certificate
- Interest and aptitude for practical work and plastering.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to follow instructions and learn from feedback.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
