**About the opportunity**

The Demand Planner’s role has overall accountability for leading the StarTrack Product portfolio, who plan, develop, manage, and execute the movement of products from vendors into StarTrack’s Customer and Operations Network. The approach used by the Demand Planner will ensure planned replenishment processes follow agreed outcomes through efficient, effective, and sustainable management of the team embedded within the wider Enterprise. Reporting into the Demand Planning Manager, the role works closely with a wide range of functions, including but not limited to, product groups and managers, Procurement, and the StarTrack Network, to manage the flow of a diverse range of product from vendors to the StarTrack Customer and Operations Network.

- Play a key role to ensure effective budget generation and plan review through effective supply and demand planning.
- Execute the demand & supply planning of products from vendors into Australia Post’s warehouse network.
- Lead and manage a team of technically skilled and proficient inventory supply chain professionals.
- Provide clear insights to ST Product Group by building a demand profile and purchasing plan taking into account relevant variables such as, but not limited to existing stock on hand, customer behaviours (i.e. Operational Depots, Large contract customers, consumers)
- Establish processes in support of best practice approaches such as sales and operations planning (S&OP) and integrated business planning (IBP), enabling sound DC capacity and resource planning and linking volume to financial performance.
- Help shape the organisational culture to recognise the importance and relevance of forward planning as a means to deliver sustainable revenue and profit delivery.

**About you**

You’ll have strong communication and team cooperation skills, as well as extensive industry knowledge of supply chain practices and competencies.

**You’ll also have**
- Strong and relevant supply chain experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
- Supply Chain management experience with direct exposure to supply, demand planning and integrating functions.
- Demonstrated sales and operations planning and sound understanding of integrated business planning principles.
- Project management experience for systems implementation, product, channel and/or market launch.
- Excellent communications skills.
- Supply Chain, Logistics or related degree or professional qualification.
