**Role Description/Criteria**

**Laboratory Technician - Part time 0.6 - 0.8FTE, Ongoing.**

Aquinas College wishes to appoint a dynamic, suitably qualified person to the position of Laboratory Technician. The position is part time 0.6 - 0.8 FTE, ongoing.

The role of the Laboratory Technician is to support the delivery of the Science curriculum by assisting teachers and the Laboratory Manager to prepare experiments for Science classes. The Laboratory Technician will assist in maintaining and organising the science laboratories and related equipment. The Laboratory Technician is regarded as a specialist in the field of science and will be required to provide current, safe and accurate advice.
- will have relevant experience and skills and a strong interest in supporting students' learning
- will have knowledge of GHS and current safe handling guidelines
- will have a demonstrated commitment to Catholic education and to the safety and wellbeing of children
- will join an excellent team of educators in a very supportive environment
- be an Australian resident or have a current Australian work visa
- will have a current Working With Children Check and Victorian Police Check
