**We seek a suitably qualified individual to ensure the City’s structured data holdings are accurate, fit for purpose, held securely and are reliable. **As our Data Analyst, you will be responsible for
- Leading and coordinating data quality assessment and resolution activities on structed data stores.
- Developing and maintaining data governance standards and frameworks in conjunction with the Enterprise Information Coordinator.
- Leading the design of standard dashboards to meet City requirements.
- Developing standard data views, complex data models and relevant reports and dashboards to provide insight to customers on performance and trends.
- Providing interpretation and statistical analysis advice to staff.
- Providing database management support services in conjunction with other technology staff.
- Preparing reports for management stating trends, patterns, and predictions using relevant data.
- Working with programmers, engineers, and management to identify process improvement opportunities, propose system modifications, and devise data governance strategies.

**To be successful in this role, you will possess**:

- Tertiary qualifications in a computer science or a strongly related field;
- that has an emphasises on statistical and analytical skills (i.e. mathematics, statistics);
- or significant professional experience.
- Understanding of the requirements to build and maintain reporting data stores from cloud and locally hosted transactional systems.
- Ability to write and speak clearly to easily communicate complex ideas in a way that is easy to understand.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Team-working skills.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify, collect, organise, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings.
