QA / QC Advisor
- This opportunity will see you join a reputable company with a highly experienced team who work together to develop and provide solutions for our customers. This is a full-time, permanent position based on site in Geelong, Victoria.
- About the role
- This position will establish an agreed interpretation of project requirements as defined in specifications, codes, and standards between UGL and our Client. In this role, you will monitor and report on the team’s compliance with the project quality plan, nominated specifications and field quality control procedures. You will coordinate and carry out inspections as required by the Inspection and / or Test plans as well as providing technical quality support to the maintenance and project teams.
- About You
- You will collaborate with the UGL and Client teams, draw on yours and their diverse skills and create an environment where great ideas are heard, and everyone looks out for one another. Ideally you will have:

- Appropriate trade and technical qualifications
- Minimum 10 years in a heavy industry / oil & gas or construction environment
- Minimum 5 years in a Quality Assurance / Quality Control role
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and demonstrated experience in the development and administration of Quality Control databases and systems
- Demonstrated experience in the commissioning of Oil & Gas, Petrochemical plant and equipment highly regarded
- Demonstrated experience in leading Quality & HSSE improvement outcomes highly regarded
- Key responsibility areas

- Review technical documentation and ensure correct specifications and drawings are included in work packs and requisitions
- Develop and / or facilitate the development of inspection and associated check / inspection records
- Determine measurement capability appropriate to the activities and ensure that calibrated measuring devices are available
- Verify suitable qualifications / experience of personnel assigned to undertake inspection activities
- Coordinate and / or undertake inspection activities and prepare inspection records as required by the ITP’s
- Monitor the completion of quality records associated with assigned work packs
- Initiate and verify suitability of corrective or preventive action where required to eliminate existing or potential causes of non-conformance
- Assist with the resolution and close out of technical non conformances
- Review and compile inspection records for compliance with agreed requirements and for inclusion with the MDR
- Prepare status reports covering assigned work areas in accordance with Project requirements
- Assembles cost control and statistical data, as needed, in support of quality objectives
