- Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for directing the manufacturing operations onsite ensuring the factory reaches volume, quality and efficiency goals without compromising on safety. You will be responsible for organising, monitoring workflow on the production floor and identifying and implementing efficiencies to maximise output.

**Duties include but not limited to**:

- Lead a team to meet safety, quality, cost, efficiency, delivery, and customer requirements.
- Guide staff on safety procedures, including, isolation, PPE, site hazards, manual handling risks, etc;
- Role model leadership behaviours demonstrating how work should be done in all aspects of the job.
- Actively work to reduce workplace hazards and risks.
- Support the daily operation of the factory by running different machines as required, covering absences and breaks.
- Train production staff to operate plant and equipment and learn the necessary skills to perform tasks.
- Ensure quality of product meets specifications at critical stages of the process.
- Authority and responsibility to stop production if output does not meet specifications.
- Assist operators with problem solving when issues present.
- Promptly investigate plant issues and address root causes, including kiln issues.
- Strive to minimise waste and downtime.
- Support discipline amongst the team, ensuring company policies are followed.
- Investigate and implement improvements to processes, productivity, quality and cost control.
- Responsible for recognition, discipline, safety and training of operators on their shift.
